  • Be employed in a small business as this course is delivered in the workplace

To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

  • Students undertaking this qualification are to be self directed and manage their time well. They are required to have regular access to a computer with a reliable internet connection.

  • To successfully complete this qualification you will need to demonstrate skills in some assessments. This will require you to organise and participate in a number of role plays which you may be asked to video-record and submit for marking. You will need to:

    • have access to recording equipment such as a camera or smart phone
    • source adult colleagues, friends or family members who are available and willing to participate in your recorded role plays. Please note, TAFE Digital does not provide participants for your role plays.

  • Please be aware that recordings will be retained by TAFENSW for audit purposes.

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:

  • An interest and some knowledge, skills or experience in small business, gained through work experience or previous study

  • The ability to set work goals and achieve them

  • The ability to work independently

  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level
