Bring your cosplay ideas to life with this short course. Learn how to design, measure, sew and accessorise an original cosplay costume and get the opportunity to enter your costume in the Sydney Wearable Art Gala.
Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Design, sew, fit and accessorise original cosplay costumes
Research the evolution of costumes and trends in costume design
Adapt costumes for production and performance requirements
Identify potential challenges to the design process and implement solutions
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.
A nationally accredited Statement of Attainment
A pathway to further study in costume and/or production design
Techniques to design and make your own unique cosplay costume
Some courses require evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
An interest in cosplay, fashion, fine arts or costume making
