To supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for welding ;

1 Clothing - Cotton drill overalls or work trousers and long sleeved shirt. Shorts are NOT acceptable.

2 Footwear - Leather steel cap boots must be worn. Nylon track shoes, thongs or sandals are not adequate.

3 Safety Glasses - Suitable eye protection must be worn at all times to comply with Workplace Health & Safety regulations.

4 Gloves - Suitable long leather gloves must be worn when arc welding or flame cutting. Gloves must be removed before using grinding machines.

5 Oxy Welding Goggles - Are to be worn when oxy welding or cutting.

6 Welding Helmet - Must be worn when arc welding. Cracked lenses must be replaced.

7 Earmuffs/Earplugs - Are to be worn in all designated areas and when requested by the teacher.

- A budget of about $100 for supplying safety boots, long sleeved cotton drilled clothing and safety glasses required for welding
