  • This course offering is designed for people who are able:

    • To complete the practical assessments, the student must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation by kneeling on the floor and performing chest compressions for 2 minutes uninterrupted, on both an adult and infant mannequin.
    • To complete the knowledge assessment the student must be able to read, listen and understand course material written in English, write a written Incident Report in English and listen to the instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) where prompts are delivered in English.

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:

  • Physical ability to kneel on the floor to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer CPR (5 cycles) on an adult manikin placed on the floor
