To successfully complete this course, you will need to attend 10 hours per week in class and additional hours completing independent activities. A Satisfactory result in all 11 units is required for successful completion of the Certificate I. Attendance outside timetabled delivery may be required at study centres to complete tasks with teacher supervision and via the moodle.
Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 11 Units of competency, including 1 core and 10 speciality units.
Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
You will attend a TAFE NSW campus or Connected Learning Centre to connect with your teachers and other students in a virtual classroom where you will participate in learning activities via video or web conferencing technology. Much like a regular class, you will have scheduled times of attendance. Depending on what you are studying, your course may also include some online units or practice training though our network of Mobile Training Units.
