  • Depending on your campus location and the Aboriginal Country you’re on, in this course you will complete:

  • Written works: documentation of artistic process, artistic descriptions

  • Submission of a visual diary

  • Portfolio of artwork

Work placement

Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.

  • There are two delivery blocks - 9:00am - 3:30pm

  • Delivery Block 1 - X 2 weekends - Friday 8th & 15th July, Saturday 9th & 16th July & Sunday 10th & 17th July

  • Delivery Block 2 - X 2 weekends - Friday 30th September & Friday 7th October, Saturday 1st & 8th October, Sunday 2nd & 9th October

  • Evening Classes Tuesdays & Wednesdays 4:00 - 7:00pm

Units Units taught in this course

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate II in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 10 Units of competency, including 5 core and 5 speciality units.

Core units are central to the job outcomes of a particular industry or occupation. These are the units industry has agreed are essential to be capable and qualified at a particular study level.
