Be employed in the medical and health sector as this course is delivered in the workplace
Have a signed traineeship contract
To make sure this delivery option is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.
Students should bring a USB Thumb drive, writing paper, pens, folder and headset with microphone to their first lesson. A component of this course will be delivered via connected classroom. This is just like a regular classroom, but teachers and students use the latest video conferencing technologies. Your teacher can be in one TAFE location, and you can join the class from another TAFE location using video conferencing equipment or a mobile device. You will be able to see and talk to your teacher and other students as though they were in the room with you. You will also have access to support to meet your learning needs.
Commencement date is 26 July 2022. You will be contacted by a TAFE NSW staff member and notified of your commencement date if enrolling later than the prescribed start date of 26 July 2022.
Classes will be held in Room AF9 at Moruya Campus from 9.30am – 4.00pm on Tuesday and Room AF14 on Thursday from 9.30am – 2.30pm.
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you:
Language and literacy skills to interpret technical language and pronounce complex and specific words correctly
Numeracy skills to do foundational mathematical calculations and interpret sequential numerical information when dealing with fees and processing medical accounts
A computer with internet access
Some experience with computer software like the Microsoft Office suite
Pre-existing technology skills to access and navigate the internet and be able to create, open and save electronic files
Confidence to work independently

This skills test helps us to understand your individual study needs, to design an individualised plan that supports your study success and ensures your LLN skills match the demands of the course.
