Would you like to work behind the scenes in the exciting and creative world of theatre, film or TV? The Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services is a nationally recognised course that can help you achieve your career goals. You will learn the higher-level skills required for working in a variety of roles in the entertainment and stage production industries.

TAFE NSW takes a real-world, hand-on approach to live-production training using industry-standard equipment. Our teachers are current industry professionals working in live audio, lighting and staging who will train you to work in a variety of scenarios.

You will work with working musicians and performers, doing regular gigs to hone your skills. The course focuses on preparing you for management roles within a range of productions. It includes skills such as:

- Managing bump-in and bump-out of shows
- Stage managing productions and events
- Mixing live audio
- Operating monitor systems
- Managing installation of lighting systems
- Lighting and vision design

The Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services can qualify you for a range of positions including:

- Lighting technician
- Sound technician
- Stage manager
