You will need to attend approximately 14 hours of class a week over 2 days. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Wednesday & Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
The fee category that will apply to you depends on your eligibility and your individual circumstances. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

There is essential equipment required for the qualification. Information will be available at the information session and first day of class and will cost approximately $850 from a supplier of your choice. The essential equipment becomes the physical property of the student and will be retained by the student on completion of training.

Courses are made up of a combination of both core and specialty units. In the Certificate III in Barbering qualification, you’ll need to successfully complete 26 units of competency, including 21 core and 5 speciality units.
