Submission of a training logbook for work placement
Work placement provides you with opportunities to respond to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement strengthens your training and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
Students must provide evidence that they are employed, or have secured work placement in a veterinary practice for a minimum of 480 hours for the duration of the course prior to enrolment. An example of work placement evidence is a signed letter from a veterinary practice. Students who are unable to provide evidence of work placement will not be allowed to enrol into the course.
Students whose work placements are made unavailable during the course must find other suitable work placement to meet the TGA qualification and unit requirements.
As part of the minimum of 480 workplace hours, 240 hours must be spent on activities and tasks as detailed in the performance criteria and assessment requirements of the units of competency, to the required AQF level of the qualification.
