Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:
Choose and fit personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to a certain task
Identify common site hazards in a workplace
Identify safety signs and symbols
Follow procedures for responding to incidents and reporting hazards, incidents and injuries
Recognise the importance of keeping a safe environment at a workplace
Gain practical experience and develop specialist skills that give you an advantage in the job market.
Engage in reporting construction hazards and assessing how risk could be reduced or removed
The ability to select and fit personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye protection, hearing protection, hard hat, and high visibility retro reflective vest
Experience in identifying the types and purpose of fire safety equipment like fire blankets, fire extinguishers, and hose reels and mains
White card certification and legal clearance to enter a construction site
Credit toward a full qualification
This course requires evidence of previous experience or study before you can enrol
100 points of ID, proving that you are over 14 years of age and have an address in NSW
To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:
