Overview About this course

Blur the boundaries between traditional art forms, functional items and fashion. Take up space with moveable props, sculpture, metals, plastics and other unconventional mediums to create innovative and show-stopping pieces of wearable art.

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

  • Conceptualise and research design ideas

  • Fabricate, sculpt, sew or construct using various mediums

Entry recommendations

To be prepared for this course, we recommend that you have:

  • Successful completion of the Statement of Attainment in Make Wearable Art (Intermediate) or equivalent industry experience is recommended but not required

  • A basic sewing kit, fabrics and materials you wish to work with (sewing machines and other equipment supplied)

  • An interest in creative expression and showcasing your artistic talent

  • An interest in working backstage in theatre, film or television
