Overview About this course

Practise the art of pampering with this introductory course. Provide services and advice to clients getting hand, foot and nail treatments. Apply nail polish after filing and shaping nails, and learn to exfoliate skin and massage hands and feet.

Learning outcomes

Through a mixture of theory and practical course work, learn to:

  • Consult with clients and provide manicure and pedicure treatments

  • Recognise skin and nail conditions and recommend appropriate services or advice

  • Use electric file equipment, including using the correct drill bits and minimising damage to natural nails

  • Apply nail polish and finishing products

  • Soak feet and nails, exfoliate hard skin and treat cuticles

  • Recommend aftercare, products and future services
