Emma's career heats up

From menu creation to running the kitchen, TAFE NSW Orange student Emma Collins has her career cooked to perfection, thanks to the skills and expertise she is developing as an apprentice chef at award-winning Orange restaurant, Racine.  

Emma credits Dharra Ngurang, the training restaurant operated by TAFE NSW, as having given her important insights into working as a head chef in a restaurant.  

TAFE NSW Head Teacher of Tourism and Hospitality, Amanda Glassop, said Emma was a gifted student and it was clear that she had really found her calling in the hospitality industry.  

“Emma is the perfect example of students coming to TAFE NSW and learning the practical skills that are highly sought after in the hospitality industry, that result in real-life employment outcomes,” she said.
