Vivid Sydney and the Electric Forest

Starting Friday, May 26 and running until Saturday, June 17 TAFE NSW students will be lighting up the Royal Botanic Gardens as part of Vivid Sydney. Students from 3D Art and Animation, Production Design, and Music have collaborated on a mesmerising, sense-shocking installation inside the 'Electric Forest'.

TAFE NSW is proud to be a participating partner of Vivid Sydney, the world's largest festival of Light, Music and Ideas. Vivid Sydney is giving TAFE NSW students an exclusive opportunity to gain practical experience under the guidance of industry professionals in an immersive project of world-class lighting, sound, animation and projection. This is an enriching experience and opportunity for our students enabling them to apply their ambition, creativity, innovation, and practical skills in a real-world project.

Students have been mentored through the project under the guidance of industry experts and participation in the project will be recognised and credited towards their studies. Not only that but the work they are doing will give them the confidence and expertise to take on large scale projects when they enter the workforce.

This is an amazing opportunity for our students and they are taking full advantage. Hear from the creative minds involved in bringing the 'Electric Forest' to life and what it means to them.
