What support looks like at TAFE NSW

Your success is our success. Seriously. It's why we're here.

TAFE NSW has a huge range of services to support you, including:

  • Accessibility and disability services
  • Aboriginal student support
  • Library services
  • Career and course counselling
  • Financial help
  • International students
  • Multicultural support
  • Learner support

Learner support explained

At TAFE NSW, you study in small, supportive classes and have plenty of one-on-one time with teachers. But we also offer you extra support if you need it, including:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • English as a second language
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Computing skills
  • Communication skills

How you access that learner support depends on your needs. It might be one-on-one, in small groups, online or in any number of ways.

Support for studying online

With TAFE Digital, you can be anywhere, except alone. As a TAFE Digital student, you have access to the full range of support services, and you’ll also have your own network and course coordinator.

Understanding ‘counselling’

Any enrolled student of TAFE NSW can access the full range of counselling services for career planning, personal wellbeing matters, or educational difficulties.

If you're thinking of enrolling at TAFE NSW, you can also access TAFE NSW counsellors for assistance with course and career planning.

Remember: counsellors are trained counsellors not ‘sales people’ (not that there’s anything wrong with sales people). They are here to do the best by you.
