Short courses Parkes’ most popular in 2015

TAFE Western Institute Director Kate Baxter has revealed short courses focusing on the responsible service of alcohol and responsible conduct of gambling were among the most popular in Parkes in 2015.

Ms Baxter believes demand in both courses remains high because they delivered real-life employment opportunities and outcomes.

"These courses are designed to provide important skills and knowledge that are a necessity when working in the hospitality and gaming industries," Ms Baxter said.

"Location-wide both courses are very popular and this popularity reflects high industry demand in both areas.

"TAFE Western's hands-on learning approach for these courses is extremely popular with our students."
