Find your path with Jonesy

You may know him as Jonesy, from Jonesy and Amanda on WSFM. Or may not know him at all. That’s OK. He doesn’t mind. But, anyway, this former TAFE NSW student (and truck driver and sewer worker) and current radio super star has some great advice for you.

Top tips from TAFE NSW Counsellors

Take a short cut
TAFE NSW has hundreds of short course options, some fully subsidised, to help people explore their interests in industry and career areas.
Give it a go at school
If you are in Year 11 or 12, check out a hands-on TVET course as part of your HSC. These give you a hands-on taste of career areas and many of these courses can also count towards your ATAR!
Put your hand up
Many employers and organisations provide volunteer opportunities to build skills, confidence and contacts.
Don't stress
It's OK not to have a concrete goal right away. Spend time learning about different industries, jobs and, importantly, yourself.

Be supported
