A Parkes Christian School graduate who has enjoyed a hands-on position in local government for two years has credited TAFE NSW for helping her accelerate her career.
Collaborative training program gives students job-ready skills
Twelve Parkes community members are now equipped with the hands-on skills to start a career in the growing horticulture and landscaping industries thanks to a training program by Skillset, CMOC-Northparkes Mines (Northparkes), Training Services NSW and TAFE NSW Parkes.
Parkes Shire Council staff upskill at TAFE NSW
Parkes Shire Council is defying a national trend by investing in the skill development of its employees, rather than recruiting new talent. Twenty staff across Council functions will have the opportunity to complete a Diploma of Project Management at TAFE NSW this year.
