Foundation Encouragement Awards

The Hunter TAFE Foundation has established the Foundation Encouragement Awards as a means of providing support and encouragement to TAFE NSW students who are in a situation of personal or financial hardship. The Foundation Encouragement Awards are valued at $500 each.

There are four award categories:

  • Adult Encouragement Award (for people aged 19 years and over)
  • Youth Encouragement Award (for people aged 19 years and under)
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Encouragement Award
  • Kaiyu Mental Health Encouragement Award

Closing date: 5pm Monday, 31 August 2020

  • Adult Encouragement Award
    Applicant must be a current student enrolled at TAFE NSW in the Hunter or Central Coast Region, who is aged 19 years or older, as of 30 June 2020.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Encouragement Award
    Applicant must be a current student enrolled at TAFE NSW in the Hunter or Central Coast regions, who identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
  • Kaiyu Mental Health Encouragement Award 
    Applicant must be a current student enrolled at TAFE NSW in the Hunter or Central Coast regions, who is living with a mental health disorder, or is studying a mental health related course in the community services sector.
  • Youth Encouragement Award
    Applicant must be a current student enrolled at TAFE NSW, who is aged 19 years or younger, as of 30 June 2020.

Download and complete the application form. Ensure you sign the declaration and attach all relevant supporting documents.
